Working in Hong Kong without being there!

Normally I spend the month before Christmas in Hong Kong, where I am one of the adjudicators at the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival.  Obviously at the end of
020 this was not possible.  Instead, the organising committee decided to run the festival remotely and from the middle of December I have been judging classes of verse speaking, prose reading and acting from the comfort of

my home studio.   By the time the festival ends on 20 January 2021 I will have adjudicated more than 50 classes and written around 2,000 assessments.

It’s amazing what modern technology will allow you to do!
